Tom Ross, a 23 year old Tight Head Prop from the Brumbies Super Rugby Side, has signed with the SIT Zero Fees Southland Stags for the 2021 season.
Ross, is a player making waves in Australian Rugby having honed his craft this season in an all Wallabies Front row with the Brumbies.
The former Junior Wallaby and nephew of NRL great Bradley Clyde, is an exciting addition to the Stags front row, which was one of the best in 2020.
Coach Dale MacLeod highlights the importance of having front row experience from a Super Rugby level, given the recent departure of 2020 Stag Siate Tokolahi and All Blacks call up for Ethan de Groot.
“Tom has been with the Brumbies for the last 3 years and has just resigned another 3 years with them. He is a full time professional and he is very low maintenance with a very good work ethic. He will be a good addition to our group. I am expecting Tom & Chris to do the job the Siate & Ethan did in 2020. There will be good competition in the front row for sure.”
Tom looks forward to his time in the Bunnings Warehouse NPC and will join the squad when it assembles mid July.
