Rippa rugby a success!

With the work of Scott Eade, one of Rugby Southland's Regional Development Officers has kick-started a primary school 4 a side indoor rippa rugby competition. This model has been used in other regions like Otago and as indoor rippa is a great way for children to enjoy the sport with their friends it has had great interest. The compeition is currently being run in Invercargill and Gore with other areas looking to be rolled out in the future. With over 35 teams in the Invercargill, and 14 girls only teams it looks nothing but positive for rugby in Southland.
