For the first time in many years, four contracted SIT Zero Fees Southland Stags are on the team sheets for this weekends Super Rugby Aotearoa.

Recently contracted prop Siate Tokolahi has been named to start for the Highlanders, while Manaaki Selby-Rickit and Ethan de Groot are named on the bench. Ethan de Groot of Invercargill Blues  is hoping to get his first run in Super Rugby. He travelled to Argentina and was set to make his debut with the Highlanders earlier this year, although Covid-19 put a stop to that. 

Across the straight, Tony Lamborn has been named on the bench for the Blues. Tony has signed back with the Stags this season after his debut with the region in 2018. Lamborn captained USA in the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
